We are currently seeking a Process Engineer I to join our Process & Technology team based in Boston, MA.
Our Boston Operating Center, located in downtown Boston, concentrates on process technology development and engineering work in the areas of chemicals, renewables, biofuels, and circular process technologies. Technology development activities are also carried out in a 19,000 square foot laboratory in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Our Process Engineer 1 is an entry level position where you will be assigned to a project task force team working on technical and economic feasibility studies, licensed technology based process design packages, and process engineering support of detailed engineering activities.
You will receive supervision and guidance from an experienced Process Engineering Supervisor, which will afford you an opportunity for substantive discussions and understanding of technical issues, as well as functional issues such as engineering workflow and the tasks taken on by each engineering discipline.
Travel the world! Our Process Engineer 1 will also have the opportunity for field assignments as part of a plant commissioning, startup and test run team which provides an excellent means for obtaining practical experience. Work sharing in other Technip offices is also a possibility.

Daily our Process Engineer 1 will:
- Produce process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment datasheets, heat & material balances, piping line lists.
- Sizing and specification of major equipment and completion of hydraulic calculations are common
- Process simulation of unit operations such as Distillation, Reaction and Liquid Extraction for example.
- Liaison with other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- First experience in process design / domain of specialty
- Theorical knowledge of process design/domain of specialty methods and tools
- Fluency in professional English
- Basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures
- Less than 2 years of experience within process design / domain of specialty
- Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others.
