Techno is seeking a Civil Inspector with specialized experience in deep excavation and micro piling to support our project team in Yonkers, NY. In this role, you will conduct inspections for structural pile and concrete repairs while occasionally providing Construction Management services for civil infrastructure

Job Description:

• Perform detailed inspections of deep excavation and micro piling activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with contract staff, Resident Engineers, facility staff, PA tenants, and contractors.
• Review construction plans and specifications, providing insights on constructability.
• Prepare thorough contract administration documentation, including daily reports, controlled inspection records, and time/material documentation.
• Identify and report potential extra work issues, keeping the Resident Engineer informed.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and supporting documentation for extra work claims.
• Review contractor payment requests and assess their reasonableness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3-years’ experience inspecting civil construction work, varied in size (projects ranging from $500K to $2 million plus) and complexity (multiple crews and crew sizes per shift).
• Strong understanding of deep excavation, micro piling, and structural repair methodologies.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Trained in fall protection, trench excavation, confined space and permit required confined space OSHA regulations and 30-hr OSHA construction safety training.
