Techno is seeking a Project Processing Specialist to join our project team in Jersey City, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for preview construction documents for tenant projects (TAA) and design audit, and project processing for Port Authority (PA) facilities to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and technical standards.

Job Description:

• Downloading the electronic TAA submissions, previewing construction documents, analyzing and reviewing drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and specifications for completeness with codes and standards.
• Coordinating the review comments from others technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments.
• Assigning various technical disciplines for code review and communicating with PA facilities to process TAA and design audit projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of diverse experience in building codes and systems.
• Proper understanding of architectural/engineering disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities.
• Strong and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Comfortable acting as liaison between PA Tenants & Facilities and in-house application reviewers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Comprehensive computer skills, proficient in MS Suite, and ability & interest to learn various in-house and external software (Share Point, eBuilder, etc.).
• Registered Architect or Professional Engineer’s license in the State of New York and/or New Jersey.
