Senior (Mainframe) Programmer Analyst

Role : Senior (Mainframe) Programmer analyst

Location : Baltimore MD . Work - Currently remote but will become hybrid in 3-6 months.

Duration : 12 months

Interview - in-person or video call

Role Description : Assist MDH staff with the development and support of MMIS II subsystem applications for Claims, Provider, Reference, MARS, Eligibility and other duties as assigned.

Generalized Experience :

  • At least eight (8) years of computer experience working independently or under general direction on complex application problems involving all phases of systems analysis.
  • At least five (5) years of IBM Mainframe OS390 experience.
  • At least five (5) years of Common Business-Oriented Language (COBOL) experience.
  • At least three (3) years Database 2 (DB2) experience.

Specialized Experience :

  • At least five (5) years of experience in analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or mid-tier computer systems, or LAN-based systems, to include experience in Database Management Systems (DBMS), and use of programming languages. Knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods and demonstrated ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing and debugging of computer programs.

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Virtual Sequential Access Method ( VSAM )
  • Job Control Language ( JCL )
  • Customer Information Control System ( CICS )
