Large Format Digital Printer

JOB POSTING: LARGE FORMAT DIGITAL PRINTER – 1st Shift.

POSITION SUMMARY

Technomark has a great opportunity for a large format Digital Printer. The Digital Printer is responsible for setting up and operating large format CMYK digital printing machines according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. The Digital Printer must be capable of solving printing problems and making adjustments to maintain print quality, color, and production speed. The Digital Printer should have a basic understanding of machinery operations and some knowledge of CMYK color theory and measurement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up and operation of large format CMYK printing
• Maintain quality by performing quality checks
• Troubleshoot job or machine for errors
• Perform daily maintenance and reports any issues
• Maintain parts supply
• Operate flatbed digital knife cutter

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education /Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years graphic design education or experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret detailed written specifications
• Basic understanding of machine operations
• Must have good judgment of color, design, and print quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of CMYK color theory and measurement
• Digital press experience
• Digital printing experience
• Prior experience and/or certification with RIP software

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The Digital Printer works around fumes and solvents.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
