Job Title : Mechanical CAD Drafter

Location : Camarillo, CA USA (onsite)

Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Drafter with expertise in SolidWorks, Six Sigma principles, and a strong understanding of plastic design. In this role, you will produce precise technical drawings and documentation to support the design and manufacturing of plastic components. Your ability to translate design concepts into detailed, production-ready drawings will be essential in driving efficiency and innovation within our team.

Key Responsibilities :

Drafting & Design :

Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks for plastic components and assemblies.
Ensure all designs meet industry standards and client specifications.

Collaboration :

Work closely with engineers and designers to interpret concepts and produce accurate technical drawings.

Support cross-functional teams in implementing Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and designs.

Documentation & Revision :

Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including revisions based on feedback and testing outcomes.

Provide clear and concise documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.

Material & Process Considerations :

Incorporate knowledge of plastic materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding) into designs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and production.

Qualifications :

Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, CAD, or a related field.

Proficiency in SolidWorks with experience in creating detailed plastic component designs.

Understanding of Six Sigma principles and their application in drafting and manufacturing.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate technical drawings.

Familiarity with plastic manufacturing processes and materials is a plus.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
