Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create comprehensive bid proposals.
• Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and scope of work to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive bids.
• Monitor cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction techniques.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of cost control principles.
• Familiarity with construction management processes and best practices.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
• A background in project management within the construction site environment is preferred.
