Techwish - AWS Solution Architect
We are looking for an AWS Solution Architect to design and lead cloud migration, optimization, and security strategies for applications moving from on-prem to AWS. This role requires deep expertise in AWS cloud services, containerization, networking, security, and DevOps automation to ensure scalable and high-performance cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud architecture solutions for migrating applications from on-premises to AWS.
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and AWS best practices.
- Define best practices for AWS infrastructure, including ECS/Fargate, EC2, VPC networking, and security.
- Lead the development and optimization of Java-based applications within AWS cloud environments.
- Provide architectural guidance for containerization and microservices deployment strategies.
- Optimize ECS configurations for self-scheduling watchdogs and automate deployments.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Ensure secure cross-VPC, multi-region connectivity, and configure ACV (Alliance Connect Virtual) for secure traffic routing.
- Enforce AWS IAM policies, roles, security groups, and access controls.
- Provide cost-optimization strategies for AWS services, ensuring efficient scaling and resource utilization.
- Lead performance tuning, auto-scaling, and fault-tolerant system designs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in system development, including 5 years specializing in AWS architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Java based web application development, including experience with monolithic and microservices architecture
- Expertise in AWS services including ECS, Fargate, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, and S3.
- Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, encryption, VPN, Secrets Manager).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, GitLab CI/CD) and DevOps automation.
- Experience in container orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/ECS), and microservices architecture.
- Strong networking expertise including VPC peering, Transit Gateway, security groups, and firewall rules.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ messaging and disk-based certificate authentication.
- Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead cloud transformation initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable AWS solutions.
