TECKpert seeks to hire a Project Manager to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing IT project planning, execution, and completion while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Project Manager will lead project teams, manage resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with agency goals
- Gather and validate business and technical requirements, maintaining traceability matrices
- Draft ITN and solicitation documents adhering to Florida state procurement regulations
- Manage risks, track progress, and resolve project challenges within strict timelines
- Facilitate Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies for project execution
- Oversee IT infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and application development
- Provide consistent communication and updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality documentation, including meeting notes, progress reports, and risk assessments
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communication or other related field.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- At least seven (7) years of professional experience in Information Systems, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Ability to identify and remediate issues
- Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines
- Attention to detail and consistency of work output
- Ability to develop and implement project plans
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in primary and secondary technical research
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Excel
- Knowledge of principles and processes in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution
- Knowledge of current trends and State of Florida initiatives in management information systems
- Ability to communicate IT issues effectively with non-technical users
- Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid processes
