What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Sr. Accountant-Traveling Trainer position at Tecta Corporate?
Position Summary:
Learn all aspects of the accounting function at Tecta, as well as Tecta’s policies and procedures in order to train and correct accounting staff throughout the country. Oversees (and assists as needed) Operating Unit accounting and finance staff and provides guidance and direction. Assists Operating Unit Presidents with financial and project analysis as needed. Provides the corporate office with related information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities. Trains new employees in accounting procedures and the ERP.
Job Functions:
- Is seen as a business partner and resource for the Regional Controllers, to train and guide the accounting and operational staff
- Assists with M&A due diligence and initial training of new acquisitions
- Evaluate the performance of accounting and finance personnel within the region and recommend training and changes as needed
- Ensures Tecta’s delegation of authority and corporate policies are adhered to
- Provides corporate office with audit, tax, insurance, and other information as needed
- Ensures credit and collection procedures are followed, and monitors collections and payments
- Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed
- Assists the corporate accounting staff with daily duties and projects from time to time
- Expected 50% travel to outside locations, home office in Rosemont, Illinois
- Provide support and training to end-users across different departments
- Conduct classroom and individual training sessions
- Provide ongoing support to address User queries and issues
- Collaborate with the IT team to align training with evolving system updates
- Diagnose and resolve ERP system issues
- Assist in ERP integration when needed
Knowledge, Skills & Experience :
- B.S. or B.A. in accounting
- 10 years of progressive experience in industry accounting with experience in percentage completion project and/or job cost accounting environment
- Experience in a multi-company/multi- location environment
- Exceptional MS Excel skills
- Strong Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the organization
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
Salary $130k-$150K Bonus
