Tecta America Carolinas, a commercial roofing contractor, provides a full range of quality roofing services, including, commercial and industrial roofing, re-roofs, leak repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and 24 / 7 service. Tecta America Carolinas started as a small company in 1964 and has grown steadily. We are based in Charlotte, NC with a second office in South Carolina, enabling us to service both states and branch out to West Virginia and Tennessee. We are currently seeking a Estimator / Project Manager, Commercial Roofing for our Charleston, SC location. The Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion. This role encompasses estimating costs, scheduling tasks, and managing operations throughout the entire project lifecycle. The Estimator / Project Manager ensures all work is executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while adhering to project specifications, company policies, and industry best practices in roofing. The Estimator / Project Manager reports to the General Manager. Primary Responsibilities :
- Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope of the work
- Responsible for catching deviations from the specifications and plans as it relates to scope, contract and schedule
- Generate estimates from blueprint drawings, specifications, field notes, field drawings, and actual field inspections
- Obtain all necessary information, such as : field inspections, measurements, photographs, and sketches required to provide accurate customer pricing
- Submit proposals to customers
- Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and property managers
- Attend / conduct all weekly meetings in conjunctions with project start-up, pre-bid, sales, job progress
- Generate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, material lists, manpower requirements, lodging, and transportation
- Handle all safety issues
- Conduct pre-job safety analysis of each project
- Monitor job costs against original estimates, budgets and change orders
- Manage project closeouts and ensure warranty documents are requested and received
- Execute contracts with subcontractors
- Month end WIP report and cost to complete report
