Job Description:
This full-time seasonal position works directly under the Nursery Manager and alongside the Garden Center team to assist with daily operations. Responsibilities include watering, plant care, stocking, merchandising, and providing excellent customer service. This position offers 32-40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule as the Garden Center is open 7 days a week. Duties
- Maintain nursery stock by watering, pruning, fertilizing, spraying, and weeding to ensure plants remain in top condition. Uphold the quality of both plant inventory and display areas, including sold item sections.
- Assist with unloading trucks and organizing plant material, including inventory checks and labeling for accurate placement.
- Provide excellent customer service in the nursery, tree section, greenhouse, and store areas. Active sales engagement is essential to support the customer experience at Ted Lare.
Requirements:
- Must understand the basics of perennials, trees, shrubs, and grasses. Bonus if you have knowledge of annuals, tropicals, vegetables, and houseplants.
- Ability to learn our POS system and handle phone inquiries.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and bend repetitively to move and row plants, unload trucks, etc.
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks independently or in a group setting.
- A keen eye for accuracy and organization.
- Energetic, motivated, and eager to learn and sell.
- Availability to work one weekend day per week; flexible scheduling within the Monday–Sunday Garden Center hours

Pay Rate:
We offer competitive wages starting at $15-$18 per hour which will be determined on your experience.
