About the Role
The Maintenance Youth Apprentice is responsible for maintaining all company assets as designed through preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance practices using skills and tools available. Identifies repetitive failures and implements improvement plans with the help of engineering. Provides reliability services to the entirety of Teel buildings, production equipment, and asset portfolio. This is a part time position averaging 15 hours per week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative and routine maintenance on machines and equipment, as determined by PM assignments
- Assists engineers with small CI projects
- Analyzes problems, determine corrective needs, and take appropriate action
- Input accurate and detailed information into the CMMS system
- Communicates regarding operation of machines
- Works on R&D and special projects
- Housekeeping, safety and environmental to maintain a healthy, clean and safe work environment
- Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor
- Enrolled in High School or General Education diploma equivalent program
- Must be part of approved youth apprentice program through school
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Strong mechanical skills
- Must be able to write simple correspondence and effectively use the computer
- Must have a strong comprehension of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
