Job Title: General Dentist

Location: Collins, NY 14034

Pay: $130 - 140/hr

Duration: 24 Months (Long-term)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM

Job Responsibilities:

As a General Dentist, you will perform a wide range of professional dental tasks aimed at restoring and maintaining dental health. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive examinations of patients' teeth and oral structures using X-rays, mirrors, and other diagnostic tools to identify pathological or irregular conditions.

• Treating dental diseases, injuries, and malfunctions of teeth and gums.

• Restoring simple and complex cavities using materials such as cement and amalgam.

• Performing single and multiple tooth extractions.

• Scaling calculus to clean teeth and prevent gum disease.

• Administering treatments for infections of the teeth, mouth, and gums, including prescribing medications or performing surgical procedures.

• Keeping detailed written records of all dental treatments provided.

• Assessing the need for prosthetic appliances by studying patients’ oral conditions and creating impressions and bite registrations for crowns, dentures, and bridges.

• Fitting and inserting finished dental appliances and ensuring patient comfort.

• Providing education and guidance on dental health practices to individuals.

• Supervising and instructing paraprofessional staff in auxiliary duties to support dental care.

• Ordering dental equipment and supplies, supervising their maintenance, and managing the dental program if assigned to oversee a facility.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following:

• Must be licensed in New York

• Must have at least 1-year of work experience as a Dentist

• Previous correctional experience is preferred, but not required

• Must have a clean background
