Network Tech / Low Voltage Tech
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Shift: 24/7 coverage (flexibility required, rotating on-call every 5-7 weeks)
About the Role
We are seeking a Network Tech / Low Voltage Tech to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role involves cabling, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of network devices in large-scale commercial facilities and data centers. You will work with the latest fiber technologies, Cat5, Cat6, and low-voltage cabling, ensuring high-quality service for our clients.
This is a customer-facing role, requiring professionalism and strong customer service skills. You will be provided with uniforms, boots, tools, and other necessary equipment.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage network cabling (Cat5, Cat6, fiber).
Rack and stack network equipment in commercial data centers.
Work with various circuits and cutting-edge fiber technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Required Skills & Experience
✅ 3-5 years of experience with low-voltage cabling (Cat5, Cat6).
✅ Experience installing and working with fiber cabling.
✅ Familiarity with PC hardware and components.
✅ Previous work in commercial facility cabling, ideally in data centers.
