Tehachapi Cement, LLC is seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the production processes and operations at our Tehachapi plant. The Production Manager will be responsible for optimizing kiln and finish mill operations, supervising control room operations, and ensuring strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on continuous improvement to meet production goals while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Production Oversight : Manage all production activities in raw mill, coal mill, kiln, finish mills, and associated support equipment.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies, including conducting crew safety meetings and required inspections.
- Equipment Shutdowns : Oversee the timely and cost-effective completion of equipment shutdowns (e.g., refractory, kiln and preheater, cooler, finish mill).
- Production Goals : Ensure operations meet or exceed quality production goals while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
- Leadership : Provide leadership to the Production department by setting priorities, goals, and motivating staff to achieve objectives.
- Collaboration : Foster cooperation between maintenance, quality, and production departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Budget Management : Design and plan production area budgets, including monthly and annual forecasts.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify operational opportunities, provide technical assistance, and follow up on improvements. Collective
- Bargaining Agreement : Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement, including participation in disciplinary actions and grievance processes.
- Performance Appraisals : Set annual goals and objectives with production personnel, conducting performance appraisals and development opportunities.
- Daily Operations Reports : Review and analyze Daily Operations Reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Technical Support : Provide technical support after hours when initiated by the Production department.
