Teijin Automotive Technologies, a leading-edge Tier One supplier, is seeking an accomplished Controls Engineer to join our team in Sarepta Facility. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborating with plant and corporate engineering teams, and contribute to the development of new technologies.
About the Position
- The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with plant and corporate engineering teams to develop and implement control systems, PLC programming, and system integration.
- Key responsibilities include recommending equipment improvements, coordinating mechanical/electrical system modifications, organizing and maintaining system documentation, outlining maintenance practices, designing and implementing software, electrical, and mechanical automated systems, and supporting maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the practical application of engineering technologies to manufacturing processes, with emphasis on automation, programming, vision systems, and control systems.
- Competence with PLCs, including programming, and personal computer Windows applications such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of control systems, PLC programming, and systems integration.
- Technical leadership and long-term technical planning as applied to manufacturing processes.
Please note that this position requires excellent health and physical condition, as well as the ability to work in close proximity to high temperature molds.
