We are looking for a Engineering Technician that is open to work either 1st or 2nd shift. Location will be in Seguin, TX
Essential Job Functions
- Define and monitor the Process Parameters that must be audited during the shift.
- Troubleshooting manufacturing process problems, concerns and issues related to each process line.
- Participate together with the different departments in the analysis/solution of Failure Modes.
- Interpret the statistical information obtained from monitoring the Process Parameters.
- Coordinates activities with manufacturing personnel to support the manufacture of customer requested prototypes, engineering changes to existing product lines and new development products.
- To develop product and manufacturing technologies and processes that provide high quality products, excellent customer service and optimize profitability for the company.
- Coordinates and provides recommendations for design and development of process line tooling, equipment, work fixtures and optimum layout of an assigned product line.
- Provide technical services for development of process instructions manuals and key training aids for manufacturing in compliance with the current Quality System procedures and policy.
- Support the continuous improvement program by recommending improvements in product quality, reduced scrap, minimize/eliminate rework, improve labor efficiency, material saving and decrease equipment downtime.
- Train staff in molding processes as required.
- Availability to travel in when required (visits to clients/suppliers, support at client plants).
- Participate, comply, and support the environmental, health and safety system requirements.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Familiarity with APQP methodology.
- Experienced in an engineering field within a manufacturing environment, preferably an automotive supplier.
- Knowledge of SPC and statistical data analysis.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
- Must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
Experience
- Three years of manufacturing experience.
- Must have experience with control systems and PLC programming and systems integration.
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent, BS Degree in leadership and supervision desired.
Working Conditions
Will be required to work within the plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
Salary : $65,000
