Material Handler Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handlers to join our team at Teijin Automotive Technologies Sarepta facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient storage, movement, and packaging of raw materials, component parts, and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proper storage and movement of all containers, raw materials, and component parts used in the manufacturing process.
- Packing and inspection of finished goods.
- Collection of finished goods from the manufacturing line and forwarding to packaging and/or inspection as required.
- Proper FIFO of raw materials and component parts.
- Assist with box building as needed.
- Placement of raw material and component parts to the manufacturing line as required.
- Placement of packaging, returning or corrugated, to the manufacturing line as required.
Requirements:
- Valid fork truck license.
- Personal computer skills preferred.
- Must be able to mount and operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
- Knowledge of chemicals specific to the job with some exposure to fumes.
- Some telephone usage required.
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work in a plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, glass fibers, fumes, and heat.
