We are seeking a Process Technician 3rd shift for our North Baltimore, OH Plant.
Position Summary :
Assist in engineering activities in the area of molding, bonding, drilling operations, assembly, finishing, and painting in order to obtain optimum productivity and quality levels while complying with customer specifications.
Primary responsibilities will be to improve productivity through optimization of scrap and rework performance, through improved methods, and strict adherence to proper manufacturing procedures. In addition, the Mold Technician will assist in achieving product target cost, improve efficiency, identifying possible production problems for existing products. Report to the Engineering Manager and will be an active member of the launch team.
Essential Job Functions :
- Support project launch strategy.
- Assist production in trouble-shooting.
- Assist engineering in implementations of new process or revised process changes.
- Assist in set-up process after a tool change and in process improvements.
- Support scrap / defect reduction process.
- Participate in identifying open items issues and task force.
- Support and maintain project time line.
- Work with the team to develop processes, tune-in equipment and tooling.
- Review mold and secondary fixture design and make recommendations and assist in approval on molds and secondary equipment as required.
- Develop workflow, effective layout and optimize processes.
- Process monitoring checks (i.e., flash thickness, black box).
