Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Auditor for our Huntington, Indiana Plant, working on the 2nd shift.
Essential Job Functions:
- Examines company records to gather information such as product size and weight, and quality test results.
- Inspects products to determine compliance with order specifications, the company's quality control system, and shipping and packing standards.
- Selects products for testing in the production process.
- Conducts audits on the finishing process to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Submits samples of products to the laboratory for testing, following department procedures.
- AUTHORITY TO RELEASE PRODUCT TO CUSTOMER BASED ON KNOWLEDGE OF CUSTOMER'S SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards in production process parameters.
- Performs all shop floor control point functions.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- At least one year of manufacturing or related experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, understand oral and written instructions, and information gathered from meters, dials, calibrated scales, and visual display units.
- Ability to summarize verbal instructions, write routine reports, and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to follow instructions in a logical order, given in oral, written, or diagram form.
- Ability to apply quality standards against products and determine if defective and the degree of defect.
- Ability to compile gathered information and solve practical problems.
- Ability to stand continuously, walk frequently, and occasionally stoop, kneel, and/or climb.
- Ability to manipulate objects by hand, maintain physical balance, and use fine finger movements.
- Ability to push or move heavy objects.
- Ability to identify colors and make fine visual discrimination.
