Position Title: Preoperative/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN
Position Type: Direct Hire/Staff
Pay Rate: $40-45/hr
Shift: Days, 5x8s, Monday to Friday, no nights, weekends, major holidays, or on-call
Main Function:
Provide planned, skilled nursing care for patients during the critical preoperative and postoperative periods. This includes continuous patient surveillance for early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of any medical or surgical complications that may arise in these phases of care.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (A.S.N.) or equivalent from a two-year college and technical school
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a postoperative or critical care setting is preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Active Nursing License (State-specific)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (AHA)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (AHA)
