Quality Technical Associate

Overview:

An aerospace team based in Irving, TX is seeking a Quality Technical Associate to support high-precision manufacturing and inspection processes. The role focuses on validating inspection data, auditing standardized procedures, and ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards for government and airline contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Validate measurement scans and part inspections for compliance with specifications.
• Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and 3D scanning systems.
• Develop and execute quality control processes and checklists.
• Implement statistically based sampling plans and support audits (FAA, ISO, customer).
• Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading
• Experience with metrology and statistical analysis
• Strong knowledge of RCCA, CAPA, and NCMR processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Python programming is a plus
• Experience with tools/software like Zeiss Calypso, GOM ATOS, and UR Cobots

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–3 years in precision manufacturing and inspection

• Travel: Up to 15% (domestic)
