Overview:
An aerospace team based in Irving, TX is seeking a Quality Technical Associate to support high-precision manufacturing and inspection processes. The role focuses on validating inspection data, auditing standardized procedures, and ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards for government and airline contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Validate measurement scans and part inspections for compliance with specifications.
- Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and 3D scanning systems.
- Develop and execute quality control processes and checklists.
- Implement statistically based sampling plans and support audits (FAA, ISO, customer).
- Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in GD&T and blueprint reading
- Experience with metrology and statistical analysis
- Strong knowledge of RCCA, CAPA, and NCMR processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Python programming is a plus
- Experience with tools/software like Zeiss Calypso, GOM ATOS, and UR Cobots
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–3 years in precision manufacturing and inspection
