General Description

The Partner Sales Manager (PSM) for AWS Public Sector is responsible for cultivating relationships and developing solutions with one of TEKsystems Global Services’ most strategic partners, Amazon Web Services. The PSM’s impact is felt through the connectivity created between TEKsystems Global Services’ practices, alliances, and customers. The PSM realizes this through a persistent focus on relationship management, innovative GTM sales programs, business development and market activation.  PSMs will need to have strong networking skills, attention to detail, outstanding oral / written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across a matrixed organization. The ideal candidate has both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, and a sales background that enables them to easily interact with enterprise customers and partner with field sales reps. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Responsibilities

PSM’s will be focused on 6 key areas:

 

Partner Relationship Development

  • Fostering relationships with Strategic Partner Account Managers/FSRs, Partner Sales Managers, Partner Development Managers and Regional/Industry Managers across dedicated industry
  • Create and execute a business development strategy within Industry / Territory
  • Support business development activities by connecting the appropriate TGS Sales Personnel and TGS Practice Personnel with the appropriate partner sales/product/PSO team for accounts within specific industry
  • Leading the alliance planning session preparation, including agenda development, research, materials gathering and consolidation, coordination among alliance leadership, logistics, as well as notes capture and report outs 

Funding Activation

  • Maintain expert-level understanding of all partner funding mechanisms
  • Leverage partner funding to increase TEKGS’ ability to win deals with existing and new customers

 

Sub-Contracting Business Development

  • Develop relationships within partner professional services organizations with the goal of generating net new business opportunities
  • Support TEKGS sellers with ProServe/PSO sub-contracting opportunities at existing and new customers

Industry Solution Development and Sales

  • Identifying, building, and executing innovative partner-specific go-to-market programs and sales sprints with our alliance partners that generate new pipeline
  • Work with practices, partners and Alliance Management team to build solutions on partner technology that enable positive business outcomes for customers
  • Identify industry trends and how partner’s products and services can address customer business problems
  • Leverage partner teams and resources to ensure industry solutions are evangelized in the market and marketed effectively

Alliance Enablement and Advancement

  • Internally educate and evangelize partner’s products and services
  • Define and execute against the partner program, establishing business and technical relationships, and manage the day-to-day interactions with these organizations in order to build long-term business and marketing opportunities.
  • Maintain holistic view of the Partner Community in specific territory, a deep understanding of the partner’s capabilities and solutions that will enable customers.
  • Supporting the partner alliance team in collecting and centrally storing relevant client materials (qualifications, proposals, etc.)

Opportunity Acceleration / Support

  • Build and nurture partner-specific pipeline for the Industry / Vertical
  • Support and accelerate TEKGS ability to win deals based on technology and partner expertise
  • Coordinate and execute quarterly business reviews with TGS and partner leadership
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal stake holders.
  • Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; develop and negotiate contracts and integrate contract requirements with business operations

Qualifications

Requisite Experience:

  • 6 years of sales experience in Information Technology Services, ideally with 2 years of Cloud solutions experience
  • 1 years experience working with 3rd party influencers to sell services
  • Successful track record in services sales
  • Proven experience at the C and executive level
  • Cloud Sales or Alliance Management experience
  • Preferred candidates will have experience working within the Public Sector industry

Salary range is $120-$160k

Bonus potential is $25-$180k
