Role Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Technical Project Manager (TPM) on a contract basis to lead the migration of on-premises applications to Microsoft Azure. The TPM will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and Azure cloud architects, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and timely migration. The role involves defining the product vision, managing backlogs, and collaborating closely with developers to achieve business objectives and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cloud Migration Leadership : Manage and oversee the entire migration roadmap from on-premises to Azure, aligning business goals with technical deliverables.
- Backlog Management : Develop and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business priorities and Azure best practices.
- Stakeholder Communication : Act as the central point of communication for business stakeholders, technical teams, and Azure architects, clearly conveying migration plans, requirements, and timelines.
- Agile Process Facilitation : Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, addressing blockers and tracking progress.
- Requirements Documentation : Collect and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for migration phases.
- Risk Management : Identify risks and blockers early, propose solutions, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
- Testing & Quality Assurance : Oversee testing processes to ensure migrated applications meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Continuous Improvement : Optimize workflows and processes for efficiency and quality throughout the migration effort.
- Cost Management : Collaborate with finance and cloud engineers to track and optimize cloud costs while staying within budget constraints.
- Lifecycle Management : Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the migration project, from planning to post-migration monitoring.
- KPI Tracking : Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to ensure project goals are met.
