Software Configuration Specialist (Duck Creek)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Duck Creek Configurator with expertise in Distributed Management System (DMS) configuration and architecture. The role involves implementing, customizing, and optimizing Duck Creek components, with a strong focus on the DMS platform and client code base. This contract-based position in Austin, Texas, will require hands-on experience in DMS configurations, batch processing, and compensation modules, along with proficiency in tools like Jenkins and Octopus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage DMS configuration projects, including Phase 1 (Demographics) and Phase 2 (Compensation Module).
- Configure and customize the DMS architecture, including database configurations and client-specific requirements.
Implement and manage Phase 1 features, such as:
Ø Agency onboarding.
Ø Agency termination.
Ø Managing and troubleshooting batch jobs.
Implement and manage Phase 2 features, including:
Ø Configuring bonus and commission schedules in the compensation module.
Ø Perform configuration changes on the client code base, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Ø Utilize tools like Jenkins, Octopus, and Java2EE to manage the build process and deployments.
Ø Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality Duck Creek solutions tailored to client needs.
Ø Provide recommendations for optimizations and ensure compliance with best practices.
Ø Create and maintain detailed documentation for DMS configuration, customization, and upgrades.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Duck Creek Distributed Management System (DMS), including its architecture and database types.
- Proven ability to configure and manage DMS Phase 1 (Demographics) and Phase 2 (Compensation Module).
- Proficiency in batch job management and troubleshooting.
- Strong expertise in tools like Jenkins, Octopus, and Java2EE for build processes and deployments.
- Familiarity with insurance industry workflows, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Spring Boot and Angular.
- Prior experience in DMS upgrades and enhancements.
- Duck Creek certification (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with integrating Duck Creek components with other enterprise systems.

Pay: $73,591.69 - $130,000.00 per year
