Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various machinery and equipment in a factory setting.
Duties
- Operate and monitor machinery such as press brake machines, CNC machines, and welding equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production
- Perform materials handling and ensure proper storage of materials
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify product quality
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure they operate efficiently
Skills
- Proficiency in operating machinery including presses, logic controllers, and CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Experience with materials handling and storage procedures
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
- Knowledge of welding processes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment
- Shipping and receiving
- Warehouse movement.
- Receiving actions.
- Materials movement for all operations.
- Sorting, moving, shuffling, stacking, packaging & shipping.
- Verifying inventory.
- Support shipping/receiving, packaging and other warehouse functions.
- Unloading/loading trucks.
- Building boxes/crates for outgoing shipments.
- Performing inventory support tasks, printing picklists, pulling product and preparing shipments.
- Entering information into ERP systems.
- Verification and data entry associated with these tasks.
- Active participation in operational improvement activities.
- Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
- Other task as needed and flexibility is key.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Prior shipping/receiving or warehouse experience is required.
- Forklift experience.
- Heavy lifting/moving is part of this job. Up to 75lbs. Team lift, forklift, etc. are available.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently as needed.
- Prior experience with an ERP system preferred.
- Basic MS Office skills required
- Good basic math skills.
- Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.
- Able to speak/read/write English proficiently.
- Legible handwriting/printing.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour
