Job Description :
We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Application Security Specialist to join our security team and work closely with development teams. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between security and development by advocating for developers, communicating risks, and helping them incorporate security practices into their development processes. While prior security experience is a plus, we are more focused on mindset and willingness to learn, especially for those with a development background looking to transition into application security. The role will also emphasize cloud security, particularly in Azure, making a solid understanding of cloud-based application development beneficial.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Communicate security risks effectively and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
- Advocate for security needs while understanding the pressures and objectives of development teams.
- Support cloud-based application security, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
- Continuously learn and grow in the field of application security to enhance security posture.
