Job Description
The Manager, Revenue Accounting is a key member of the Finance team responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, including revenue accounting policies, controls, and reporting. This role will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS revenue models, be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the revenue accounting function, including the review and analysis of revenue transactions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures.
- Oversee the month-end close process, including revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports.
- Assist with the preparation of SEC filings as and when applicable.
- Research and analyze new accounting pronouncements and their impact on the company.
- Ability to work cross function and supervise billing team of four to five, based in India, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Legal, on revenue-related matters.
- Work closely with the India-based accounting team to ensure efficient and accurate revenue processing.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
- Industry knowledge of best practices
- Partner with Deal Desk and Pricing Committee to escalate and drive decision on non-standard deals.
- Drive quality into the organization through constant inspection, verification, and reconciliation.
- Support FP&A in the development of forecasting revenue and reporting.
- Effectively lead change management across teams through documented governance
- Be a trusted advisor across the business.

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations . The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance.
