Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, eager-to-learn, and detail-oriented IT Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The IT Assistant will be responsible for end-user support, troubleshooting, and maintaining software and hardware. This includes office tools, network components (LAN, Wi-Fi), computer operating systems (Windows 10 or later), telephony systems, and mobile devices. This is a part-time, on-site position at our office located at 4800 Lina Lane, Dublin, VA, 24084. You will have the flexibility to choose between a morning or afternoon shift, working 4 hours each day, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and support on software and hardware to end users, resolving tickets assigned by the Service Desk.
- Maintain a 98% compliance rate for ticket response and resolution times.
- Configure and troubleshoot IP telephones.
- Set up and support mobile devices and smart phones (tablets, iPhones, iPads).
- Configure and support printers.
- Manage asset tracking and maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment.
- Configure, upgrade, and maintain antivirus software on the network to ensure data security.
- Provide troubleshooting for Internet Explorer, Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office Suites, and other software/hardware applications.
- Manage user accounts including email, remote access, etc.
- Assist with the setup and upgrading of computer systems for end users.
- Troubleshoot and maintain LAN/WAN connectivity.
- Provide user training on applications when needed.
- Ensure that all IT systems are functioning efficiently and optimally.
- Monitor and report any breaches of IT acceptable use policy or best practices to the Infrastructure Manager.
- Coordinate with IT vendors to provide solutions for business needs (connections, VPNs, cabling, camera services, printers, etc.).
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in Information Technology processes and computer/network troubleshooting.
- Highly customer-service oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the IT field.
