JOB OVERVIEW
The primary responsibility of the Material Transfer Technician is to move production related materials and equipment between departments in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.

Requirements
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Moves production materials and vessels (includes pasteurization tanks) from Formulation to the appropriate dispensing area for upcoming manufacturing work orders.
- Enter transactions in the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner. This may include material issuing using Smart Factory, bin to bin transfers and work completion transactions.
- Communicates effectively ensuring timely completion of tasks. Utilizes Teams and intercom to communicate daily. Follows up with the production areas when there are delays and escalates issues appropriately based on production timelines.
- Performs cycle counts of inventory in assigned area as required.
- Maintains minimum and maximum stock levels of commonly used supplies outside of the cleanroom, such as zip ties, white carts, clean room carts, clippers, cleaning supplies, etc.
- Prepares clean room carts and materials by wiping them down and taking them into the material transfer room.
- Moves filled containers from the material transfer room, transferring them to white transfer carts and delivering to Non-sterile Packaging.
- Loads and unloads products or material from autoclaves.
- May start or end pasteurization runs.
- Assists with performing filter integrity testing as needed.
- Cleans laboratory equipment and maintains supplies.
- Maintains a clean and organized workstation by following standard 6S practices.
- Works closely with production associates to complete any assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner with as little disruption to production as possible.
- Works together with supervisor, leads, and team members daily to meet product deadlines.
- Ensure all means of communication with regards to Operations are acted upon in a timely fashion.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-2 years related work experience; Prior Teknova experience preferred.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.
- Ability to work creatively and effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours daily.
- Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 40 pounds.
