The Construction Project Engineer II will oversee and manage various construction projects. This role involves providing technical oversight conducting reviews and ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule all while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Construction Project Engineer II will direct coordinate and functionally head planning organization control integration and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. This position will plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements. Additionally assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies product design preparation of specifications and technical plans and product testing in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently applies extensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices in completing assignments.
Develops and / or reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy security and regulatory compliance. Evaluates reports of production malfunction and maintenance to determine or address issues.
Analyzes complex construction engineering projects to determine requirements and constraints.
Designs implements and communicates an operational plan for completing the project. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
Provides mentorship to direct reports and colleagues through knowledge in the area of specialization.
Understands and interprets project plans and specifications.
Communicates with client and / or contractor representatives.
May act in the role of Resident Engineer Assistant Resident Engineer Documentation Engineer or Inspector.
Collaborates with other engineering departments and coordinates their disciplines in the development of the project.
Prepares proposals to provide professional services and assists with other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES :
Basic understanding of construction engineering principles as they apply to buildings and infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings plans and specifications.
Knowledge of common building materials construction techniques and best practices.
Understanding of inspection process testing requirements and quality control.
Awareness of building codes (ASCE) industry standards (AISC) and safety (OSHA) regulations.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks in projects.
Ability to analyze onsite issues and prose solutions
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENT :
Education : B.S. in Engineering or related field required. Masters Degree preferred.
Licensure : Professional Engineer license required.

Experience : Typically 1012 years of relevant supervisory experience.
Communication Skills : Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills
Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; Working knowledge of CAD software
