We are currently looking to hire an Agile Senior Business/Data Analyst within the Enterprise Data and Information Services team, which is a part of our Financials Technology organization. This position is responsible for supporting high profile regulatory projects and efforts as a business analyst, adhering to an enterprise-wide data governance framework to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, understanding, and protection of data. Attention to detail is a MUST.
Responsibilities:
We are looking a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented. The Agile Senior Business/Data Analyst for the Regulatory Reporting Team must work with the Product Owner to thoroughly understanding the business requirements and our various data sources, and write Jira Stories in a way that the developers can create the required data extracts.
Participate in all related meetings including daily SCRUM calls and provides direction and feedback based on direction and input from Product Owner
Receive all of the regulatory request each day
Works with Business and Product Owner to clarify requirements.
Works with Product Owner to define data requirements and document acceptance criteria
Raises requirement issues / risks to manager for resolution
Write up the JIRA tickets - average of 7 daily
Is available to the team to provide guidance and feedback
Have the opportunity to run reports in SSRS, OBIEE, or Tableau in order to fulfill the request.
Have the opportunity to run SQL in Snowflake, SSMS and Oracle if the person has that skillset.
May perform data validation during UAT/PO Review of output file after it has gone through QA.
And finally, send the vetted output files to business in secure manner with appropriate documentation.
Responsibilities:
Perform business and data analysis and profiling using standard toolsets as well as manual analysis methods to interpret trends or patterns, identify relationships, understand anomalies, assess data quality, and add context to requirements.
Work closely with the Regulatory Reporting team to understand internal and external requirements for dataset creation and queries.
Identify opportunities for improvement and reuse, enabling us to become more efficient and nimble in responding to regulatory needs.
Utilize relationships with other data domain owners to understand best practices and data availability
Perform data mapping and gap analysis.
Document Data Requirements Specifications based on interpretation of Business Requirements, discussions with stakeholders, and overall knowledge of the data.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of data across all domains and entities.
Provide clarity for business terminology and relationships to data structures.
Assist with root cause analysis and remediation of production support issues related to data integrity.
Focus on continuous improvement of data lifecycle processes, procedures, standards, and usages.
Maintain relationships with interface partners and vendors to assess or communicate impacts specific to upstream or downstream data changes.
