Security/Alarm Installer

Location: Cheyenne, WY
Description: We are seeking a skilled Security/Alarm Installer to work on large commercial security projects across the Cheyenne area.
Responsibilities:

• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of non-routine systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
• Act as the customer's best service provider, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical support and training for customers.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for timely invoicing and job cost tracking.
• Maintain exceptional customer focus and work under pressure to meet customer needs.
• Troubleshoot problems and look for solutions independently.

Qualifications:

• Solid technical skills and experience with fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems.
• Strong programming skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to job sites regularly; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Skills:

• Installation of alarms, cameras, security systems, cabling (Cat6, Cat5), access control, and more.
• Troubleshooting alarm systems, low voltage wiring, and security installations.
• Experience with Honeywell, fire alarms, and programming.
• Install single and double mag locks, electrified crash bars, REX, door contacts, electric strikes, card readers, static crash bars, electrified hinges, and lever sets.
• Read blueprints and determine cable routing paths.
• Install interior and exterior cameras, network switches, UPS, servers, and punch-down patch panels.
• Troubleshoot door contacts, open line faults, shorted line faults, and ground faults.
• Basic low-voltage electrical theory.
• Communicate effectively with job site leads and project managers.
• Lead installation crews and provide daily updates to PM and supervisors.
• Familiarity with local AHJ code requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $39.00/hr.
