Job Title: Instructional Design Specialist
Duties: The Instructional Designer Specialist will be expected to design and develop learning experiences in a variety of forms, including video, interactive eLearn, large-scale training solutions, and blended multi-media instructor-led presentations. In developing learning experiences, the Instructional Designer Specialist will determine learning objectives, rewrite content, structure learning activities, and create visual aids for both face-to-face and online interactions. They will work closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the various business units to ensure that all content is responsive to training best practices but also meets all regulatory and legal requirements.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in video production for training purposes.
This is a contract position.
Skills:
1-2 years experience in Instructional Design, eLearn development, video production or related field.
Ability to program interactive asynchronous eLearn experiences, as well as develop synchronous in person scenario-based experiences resulting in high levels of engagement and retention.
Ability to translate complex, multi-step processes into easy to understand, digestible training.
Ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and/or adapting to evolving business needs.
Develop storyboards, scheduling production activity, coordinating set production, conducting research and assuring an overall production schedule is maintained.
Edit video content using Adobe applications such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong portfolio demonstrating attention to detail, an effective implementation of principles of design and adult learning pedagogy, with professionally appealing visuals and layout.

Duties: Position Summary: The Instructional Designer I is responsible for applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies across multiple organizational boundaries and levels. Must use industry applications and CE standards of Instructional Design, to create new courses or revisions to online and classroom training solutions. They will liaison with L&D Managers, and SMEs based on project requirements. This position requires strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment with a strong proficiency and experience with designing and developing innovative, interactive learning courses for a variety of content areas.
Develop classroom and eLearning training deliverables following the client procedures, ensuring all content adheres to adult learning theory, incorporates experiential learning, and is of high quality.
Manage upwards of five personal projects daily by communicating with CE leaders and peers, enterprise wide, to ensure deadlines are met and projects remain on track.
Load courseware and documentation to the Learning Management System (SAP Success Factors/Workforce Connect), interlinking content to internal and external content, troubleshooting and problem-solving issues as needed.
Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary
Skills: Knowledge and/or familiarity with adult learning principles, and the ability to apply instructional design principles to training development.
Competency building courses in Articulate Storyline or other e-learning software.
Well-developed writing, research, and editing skills; familiarity with standard style guides.
Proven project management skills.
Experience with loading and managing courseware and documentation into a Learning Management System (SAP Success Factors/Workforce Connect).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
