VDI/VMware Horizon Engineer

TEKsystems is looking to hire a VDI/VMware Horizon Engineer to facilitate a technology vendor transition. Candidate will be responsible for following:
**Candidates must be able to work on W2, no C2C at this time**
Hybrid Work Schedule: 2-3 days onsite
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Job Responsibilities and Overview

• Migration Support: Assist in transitioning from the old system (Citrix) to the new system (Omnissa/VMware).
• Technical Support: Collaborate with the team to support infrastructure, applications, user migration, and reclaiming old devices.
• Virtual Apps: Focus on virtual applications rather than virtual desktops.
• Build and Support: Help build and support various components such as Horizon Pods, VIPs, CPA, and RBAC.
• Troubleshooting: Provide operational support and troubleshoot issues.
• Implementation: Review and implement the migration plan.
• Server Setup: Install and configure virtual servers.
• Load Balancing: Understand and manage load balancer requests.
• Horizon Agent: Install Horizon agents on non-persistent RDS OS, replacing existing Citrix agents.
• End User Devices: Work with various devices, including thin clients, PCs, and virtual applications.
• ITSM Transition: Assist in transitioning from the current incident and change management system (ITSM) to ServiceNow.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
