*Description*
This BA sits in the process improvement team at Norwegian cruise lines, they will be responsible for assisting the strategy for Vessel Operations and with the development of annual strategy to create and lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives. An example of a continuous improvement initiative would be comparing how many rooms that cleaning services are able to complete in a day versus competition and implementing strategies on the boats' operations to be more efficient.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Solid written and verbal communications skills.
Clear and precise communication with all levels of the organization are essential.
Strong ability to interact with Management and build effective relationships within the company as well as with internal and external customers.
Strong planning capabilities to identify and prioritize strategies and activities as well as to meet the deadlines required to support the overall business needs.
Must be extremely customer-service oriented.
Strong decision-making skills considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Creativity and strategic thinker.
Detail oriented with excellent analytical, financial and spreadsheet modeling skills.
Must possess knowledge of the hospitality industry, current market trends, and economic factors; preferably within an international organization and accustomed to working with a highly diverse and remote work group.
Understanding of Engineering concepts, design theories and technical drawings necessary to assist in special project and dry dock planning.
Excellent organization and presentation skills. Understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Visio, Data-Science developments, and Project required.
Knowledge of the CAR process, budget, approval, reconciliation and reporting.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific, engineering and technical journals, business periodicals, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.
The position requires travel to and from ships, shipyards and /or vendor facilities (<= 30%).
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with executing the strategy for Vessel Operations and assist with the development of annual strategy, create and lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
Drive BPO in the strategic, analytic and operational support of the vessel operations and Brand Operations.
Analyze project and business data to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement.
Communicate these findings and other best practices to the fleet and Vessel Operations teams.
Work closely with Classification Societies on new and innovative solutions to improve safety, perform condition based and periodic maintenance, becoming digital, and increasing efficiency.
Work with Director to prioritize projects and day to day operations and utilize department staff in the most efficient way possible.
Follow-up on incidents as assigned, investigate, evaluate and implement corrective actions, procedures, changes as needed.
Collaborate with the teams and develop strategy to bring Operations Project Management practices to PMI standards.
Support a Risk Management process of the entire portfolio working with the various responsible stakeholders and ship leadership.
Aggregate feedback and lessons learned from the fleet for continuous improvement and sharing of ideas and experiences.
Participate in the study of operational needs and current operational performance both ship and ashore to determine optimal working procedures and systems, and to identify areas for improvement and efficiency on assigned projects or of selected resources.
Responsible for the analytical support of Fleetwide Projects and the Capital Budget.
Assist with the end-to-end management of the Capital Processes.
Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate communication, project execution, performance management and ensure cohesion with international NCLH resources in the UK and shipyards.
Remain current with industry trends, especially as related to contemporary management techniques.
Strategize with the finance team on economic feasibility analysis for project options, alternatives and life cycle costs.
Performs other duties as required.
