Description : *Fiber Network Services (FNS) is a turn key vendor that support OSP and ISP construction for Telecommunication efforts.
They are a large General Contractor that supports the MD, DC, VA, and WV market with recent expansion to NJ, PA and Vermont.
The major of their business and relative to the Cable TV and HFC industry and support customers such as Comcast, Cox communications, and Crown Castle.
This particular role will be supporting Comcast and their broadband expansion in Somerset, Pittsburg, and Greensburg PA.
This Cut Coordinator will also be responsible for managing crews in the field and working along side them at times. At times they may also need to help work with the permit team.
Fiber Network Services is looking for Construction Coordinators to support their OSP telecommunications construction efforts not limited to Commercial (Metro E and SMB) and Residential (Multiple Dwelling Units), SDU (Single Dwelling Unit) jobs.
These construction coordinators will be aligned geographically and will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish.
This will involve over seeing internal crews as well as contractors to ensure projects are meeting deadlines, perform quality control, and provide the end client with various updates.
Ultimately they will be reporting to a project manager and the client itself to provide meeting updates and tracking / reports within excel or client specific software so computer literacy is a must!They will be overseeing Coax Splicers and should have some knowledge with inspecting / splicing 565 count, 625 count, 715 count, and 825 count coax as well as large fiber bundles.
These will be turn key projects so they will be performing Site Surveys, Site Walks, creating and validating BOM's, approving line items, set expectations with end clients, coordinating construction with various crews, performing QC, and working project through close out to validate As-builts.
Really need to be comfortable creating accurate timelines after assessing projects. Experience working across Design, Permitting, and Construction is a plus.
But they do have an in-house permitting team.
