What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at TEKsystems?
TEKsystems is hiring an experienced Medical Billing Rep who has a proven track record working denied claims with the insurance companies. Knowledge of how to navigate the insurance websites, and ability to resolve denied medical claims.
*Hours:*
40 hours per week between the hours of 7:30am - 5:00pm.
**They are flexible as long as the person is performing. Work from home 2 days per week once fully trained up
General Description:
Position is responsible for collecting patient and payer balances. This includes follow up on underpaid and no pay balances. Verifying and updating information.
Directly Responsible For:
*Work claim edits within billing clearinghouse.
*Follow up on open balances listed on Revenue Cycle Management reports and work ques.
*Generate correspondence to payers and patients such as appeals, payments and authorization requests
*Communicate with centers and physician offices regarding claims and insurance questions
*Review Credit balances monthly
*Send Final Notice letters, turnover patient balances to outside collection agency
*Document all communication regarding account balance follow up in the patient account
*Attend in services, seminars and webinars for additional education

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
