Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the smooth operation of our medical facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review, organize, and maintain patient medical records and files.
* Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
* Retrieve and distribute medical records as requested by healthcare providers and authorized personnel.
* Safeguard patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
* Perform regular audits of medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Assist with the transition from paper to electronic records and support EHR system implementation.
* Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to medical records in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in medical records management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Details:
* Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4:45pm and Fridays 8am - 4:30pm
* Pay: $18 - $19/hr.
* Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered.
