Position Overview:
As the Global Social Media Specialist at Tektronix, you will play a critical role in managing and expanding our social media presence across a variety of platforms. You will be responsible for executing a global social media strategy, overseeing content creation, scheduling, and performance analysis for all social channels. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including communications, product, and strategy teams—to ensure alignment with Tektronix's goals, initiatives, and messaging. A key aspect of this role is leveraging data and insights to optimize campaigns and achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Social Media Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage the global social media calendar to ensure consistency across all channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams (Communications, Product, and Strategy) to create and share relevant, timely, and engaging content.
- Coordinate with regional teams to adapt content for local markets, ensuring cultural relevance and message consistency.
- Content Development & Strategy:
- Create, write, and optimize social media copy and assets that align with Tektronix's brand and objectives.
- Stay up to date with trends in the test and measurement space to develop forward-thinking social strategies that drive engagement and awareness.
- Manage the content calendar, ensuring timely and strategic posting across all platforms.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Utilize social media management tools like Sprout Social and work management tools like Asana to track performance and optimize strategy.
- Provide regular performance reports, insights, and recommendations based on key metrics (engagement, impressions, click-through rates, etc.).
- Leverage data to continuously improve social media campaigns, optimize reach, and enhance audience engagement.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the key social media point of contact across departments, ensuring smooth communication and execution of cross-functional initiatives.
- Partner with the product, marketing, and communications teams to amplify key product launches, thought leadership content, and company milestones.
- Crisis Management:
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries or concerns in a timely manner, following established brand guidelines.
- Support in the development of crisis communications and help manage any negative sentiment or online issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a B2B or technical industry.
- Experience managing social media accounts at a global scale.
- Proficiency in social media management platforms like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Asana or similar project management tools.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and best practices for each.
- Proven ability to create engaging content and develop effective social media copy.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Experience with paid social campaigns and understanding of advertising tools across platforms is a plus.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
