Job Description:
A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Collections Manager with a background
in collections support to secure payment arrangements and lead a team of collection agents.
Responsibilities:
- Pursue payment collection on overdue accounts.
- Compile a roster of individuals with outstanding payments.
- Organize the list based on the severity of delinquency.
- Engage in discussions with customers to establish feasible repayment plans.
- Manage the Repossession Process and evaluate repossession orders when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of each contact attempt and its outcome.
- Create payoff letters upon customer request.
- Demonstrate adept multitasking skills for handling multiple cases.
- Identify account status and use appropriate collection techniques.
- Comply with collection policies, various state and federal laws, rules, and regulations
- governing credit and collections.
- Locate customers through acceptable skip-tracing techniques.
- Analyze customer financial information.
- Apply payments received to proper accounts and make necessary adjustments or
- Determine the most effective means of collecting for each account.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Recovery/Post Charge-Off Collections experience.
- Smart, resourceful, and a creative problem solver.
- Stable employment record.
- Ability to maintain outstanding attendance at all times.
- Detail-oriented and outstanding organizational skills.
- Basic data entry and typing skills.
- A college degree is a plus.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a MUST.
- Basic knowledge of accounting.
- Proficient with Excel.
- Being independent is a definite asset for this role.
