We are seeking WorkDay Sr Architect/Senior Platform Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the core Finance technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that s leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One s Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes/platforms and bring your expertise to drive innovative design & solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with Tech Lead and product owners to understand desired WorkDay Finance module, application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating Finance value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
- Design and deliver solutions in Workday platform with modules for extensions , Prism , Extend & Integrations across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
- Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
- Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes and capabilities
- Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation & maintenance
- Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
- Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 9 years experience in WorkDay FINS architecture and platform engineering on Finance platforms (Prior Peoplesoft experience is plus)
- At least 7 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions
- At least 7 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
- 9 years of experience working with Workday platform with modules for extensions , Prism , Extend & Integrations across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers
- 5 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday using Core Connectors, Prism, Extend, Workday Studio, Custom Reports or RaaS solutions
- 7 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
- Workday Integration Developer certifications
- 4 years designing and developing solutions using Workday Extend
- 5 years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure or another cloud service
- 5 years of experience in Agile practices
