Job Description:
- We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Manufacturing Specialist to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site support for manufacturing applications and associated devices across three manufacturing locations in the Pittsburgh area.
- This role is essential in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently by addressing technical issues, providing user support, and maintaining application integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support for manufacturing applications and related devices, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to manufacturing systems, including but not limited to PCs, tablets, scanners, and printers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand their needs and provide IT solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates of manufacturing applications to ensure they are running the latest versions and security patches.
- Assist in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and applications, providing training and support to end-users.
- Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements.
- Document all support activities, including issues encountered, resolutions provided, and user feedback, to maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
- Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve technical issues that may arise.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and IT best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing applications and associated hardware.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel between manufacturing locations as needed.
