Now Hiring an Experienced Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant for a Non-Profit organization in Pensacola, FL Our organization is dedicated to providing necessary healthcare, as well as supporting addiction recovery, and helping homeless & abused women. As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are seeking a skilled bookkeeper, accountant, or financial controller to strengthen our financial operations, ensure compliance, and support long-term sustainability. MUST be highly proficient with QuickBooks and EXCEL Duties & Responsibilities include : Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, budgeting, & financial reporting. Ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial regulations, tax filings (990's), and grant requirements. Manage accounts payable & receivable, payroll, and the overall cash flow to maintain the financial health of the organization. Utilizing QuickBooks and Excel on a daily basis. Develop and improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting systems. Provide financial insights and strategic planning to support leadership and organizational growth. Work closely with the executive team and board to maintain financial transparency and accountability. We are seeking someone who is : Experienced in nonprofit finance with a deep understanding of fund accounting, grants, and donor funds. Proficient in QuickBooks, EXCEL, and financial reporting tools. Detail-oriented, organized, capable of streamlining financial processes, and ensuring accuracy. STRONG communicator who can explain financial information clearly to leadership AND stakeholders. Mission-driven and passionate about using your financial skills to support a meaningful cause. PAY : Starting at $18 / hr. (willing to pay more for the right experience AND attitude) SCHEDULE : Starting out Full-Time in the office for regular business hours
- Can shift to Hybrid and work from home part of the week once you get settled and acclimated
- Requirements & Qualifications : Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Qualified candidates must also have : Bachelor's -OR- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred but NOT required) 5 years of accounting experience with preferably 2 (or more) years in nonprofit finance Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit tax laws, and grant compliance Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar software) TEL Staffing complies with regulations enforced by the EEOC.
