Summary of Position
The IT Support Technician plays a key role in keeping our distribution centers technology running smoothly by providing end-user support and resolving a wide range of technical issues. This resource will be the dedicated on -site liaison between the site Senior Engineer and Telaid. They will work closely and be trained by the Senior Engineer on site, working with the goal to handle things on their own and be the expert on site. This resource will cover 1 or more facilities - traveling between sites and ensuring prompt arrival as to get the work needed completed within the allotted shift.
This entry-level position is responsible for addressing hardware, software, and network problems, while ensuring prompt and documented resolutions. The role involves following established help desk procedures, supporting system backups, and maintaining both corporate systems and physical infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in IT support with a keen focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support and customer service on company-supported computer applications and platforms such as Microsoft 365, Servicenow, and custom in-house applications
- Open, manage and resolve assigned help desk tickets within one week
- Diagnose, support and resolve technical hardware and software issues for laptops, desktop computers, printers, IP phones, smartphones, etc.
- Follow standard help desk procedures, advise user on appropriate actions.
- Track and resolve or route problems and requests, document resolutions
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
- Inform management of recurring problems
- Perform and test system backups
- Support the corporate systems infrastructure
- Maintain and monitor physical infrastructure including power, cooling, UPS systems
- Support of equipment inventory and license management

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A , Network , or similar, are a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar technical role preferred.
Additional Requirements
The role may involve frequent movement throughout a large facility, including walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Candidates should be able to lift and move equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
The work environment might be noisy and require adherence to strict safety protocols
Exceptional attendance is a must for this position as there is limited back up to complete the work assigned.
