What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Supports/ Community Development worker position at Telecare Services Inc?
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to provide personal support and community development services for person (s) with disabilities. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in a DDA setting, values inclusion, independence, and meaningful engagement in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and daily living support as needed, following the goals on the person-centered plan.
- Assist with Community participation including social outings, activities, and skill building.
- Support independence by helping with life skills, communication, and advocacy.
- Foster a positive and respectful environment that promotes dignity and self determination.
- Collaborate with family members, and other support staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in disability support, personal care, or community services preferred.
- Must be CPR certified, with valid certification.
- Must have a drivers license, and clean driving record
- Must display characteristics of empathy, and patience, in a person-centered approach to care.
Position Details:
- 30 hours per week set M-F schedule
