We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic. We seek a hands-on team builder who will drive cost reduction, operations efficiency, build strong relationships, and establish a culture with a focus on cost, delivery, and quality. This individual will be tasked with maintaining and upkeep of our automation picking system in the warehouse and to keep it running optimally, as well as mobile equipment readiness, and repair needs of the facility. Responsibilities
Develops, counsels, motivates, and resolves associate relations issues.
Maintains efficiency and safety of all equipment.
Monitors the daily operation and directs action as required.
Coordinates daily maintenance of equipment.
Troubleshoots equipment and does preventative maintenance.
Coordinates with the managers and supervisors to establish priorities and schedules the workload to satisfy production needs.
Coordinates with local contractors and vendors for equipment and services as required. Approves invoices for parts, supplies and services provided to the maintenance department.
Orders parts and equipment and obtains services for repairs and maintenance of facility’s equipment.
Requirements
Must have 3-5 years of experience working with conveyor systems and powered equipment in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Millwright Experience Preferred.
Must have general knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems, as well as mobile equipment in a warehouse environment. General knowledge of building systems, building repairs, and housekeeping procedures.
Strong knowledge of building codes, trade standards and general practices within the maintenance field, as well as welding experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
High School diploma required.
