TeleSolv Consulting has an opportunity to work with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Office of Corporate Communications as a Midlevel Political Analyst. This role is on-site at 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue, Washington Navy Yard, Washington DC 20376 . Please only apply if you live locally and are willing to commute on-site Mon-Fri.
Duties / Responsibilities :
NAVSEA supports the Command mission of designing, building, delivering and sustaining the U.S. Navy’s ships, submarines and systems through its strategic communications efforts. Representing more than 86,000 employees geographically dispersed across more than 40 locations worldwide, it is responsible for providing the strategic guidance, planning and execution support for all enterprise-wide internal and external communication, including marketing requirements and legislative engagement. In this capacity, the office provides direct support and strategic advisement to the Naval Commander on all communication matters.
Minimum Requirements :
- At least four (4) years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
- Provides continuous research and assessment of congressional actions, reports, and sensitive issues to identify areas of significant interest and develop courses of action to address them effectively.
- Supports the development and implementation of a proactive US Congressional engagement strategy across NAVSEA priority areas.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Current Secret Security Clearance

Background Investigation :
This position requires that you obtain a background investigation from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
