TITLE : EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT & BOARD OF EDUCATION

CLASSIFICATION : Full-Time, Year Round
SALARY RANGE : $32 - $37 / hr
SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Executive Assistant supports the Superintendent and Board of Education in ensuring the smooth operation of the District's educational environment. This includes managing schedules, day to day operatoins, and communcations as well as planning meetings and coordinating special projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Licenses / Certifications
- Valid Colorado driver's license with the ability to obtain small vehicle driver certification (Suburban / minibus) required. A driving records search will be conducted on all applicants prior to employment and the applicant's driving record will be subject to observation throughout employment
- Successful completion of a background check required
- Ability to obtain a Substitute Teacher Authorization required
- Notary public certification preferred
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED requiredExperience
Two to five years of administrative assistant experience preferredSkills
Bilingual in Spanish is helpfulDuties & Responsibilties
Manage the Superintendent's claendar : schedule and coordinate meetings, retreats, engagement activitites, travel arrangements for the Superintendent and other staff, and staff celebration effortsServe as the Secretary to the Board of Education : prepare and distribute board meeting packets including agendas, minutes, materials and follow up action items; attend meetings, take minutes and maintains required records; schedule and support board retreates, and annual events such as COSA and CASB conferences; assist with school board and bond elections as the Designated Election Offical; and assist with onboarding and engaging Student Board Representatives and Board MembersServe as an active member of both the District Accountability Committee and the Administrative Leadership TeamMaintain permanent records including the district policy manual, board-related content on the district website, district calendars, emergency manuals, and homeschool recordsMaintain organized electronic and physical systems including internal and external commuincation channels such as newsletters, website updates, and ParentSquare; emergency messaging and data systems; and emloyee data systems to assist the Superintendent in their roleOther responsibilities as assigned by the SuperintendentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
